Welcome to World War Revisited! My name is Paul Reed. I have had a life-long interest in the Second World War: my father is a WW2 veteran who fought at Anzio and all my uncles were WW2 veterans. Anyone of my generation grew up on Airfix, war films and comics full of wartime stories. The war was very much part of my childhood and I set foot on my first WW2 battlefields back in the 1970s. I have been visiting WW2 Battlefields ever since and for the past thirty years have been working as a Battlefield Guide, much of that time as Head Battlefield Guide for Leger Holidays.
My first book on WW2 came out in 2012, the now best-selling Walking D-Day published by Pen & Sword. I have a number of other titles in preparation looking at Arnhem, The Battle of the Bulge and the Third Reich.
I am very lucky that over the past forty years I have been privileged to meet hundreds of Second World War veterans and as a battlefield guide been able to take them back to places where they fought

As a military historian I also work regularly in Television, both as an advisor and contributor. Over the past fifteen years I have worked on many TV series like BBC Timewatch and Who Do You Think You Are – my most recent WW2 programmes include Dig WW2 and War Hero In My Family.
